Privacy policy

We provide driving lessons, ACT logbook training and test preparation in Canberra, and we handle personal information under applicable Australian privacy laws.

1. Information we may collect

  • Name and contact details
  • Pickup location
  • Booking and payment information
  • Learner or driver licence details
  • Attendance, progress notes and ACT logbook competency records
  • If you use your own car: registration, roadworthiness and insurance details
  • Learning needs or support you choose to share so lessons run safely

2. How we collect and use it

We collect information when you enquire, book or attend a lesson, contact us, use the website or apply for work. We use it to:

  • schedule and deliver lessons and manage pickups and cancellations
  • assess progress and complete ACT logbook requirements
  • process payments and keep business records
  • respond to enquiries
  • improve safety
  • meet legal and accreditation obligations

3. Disclosure and service providers

We may share information with Access Canberra or another government authority where required for licensing, logbook verification, accreditation or law enforcement.

We use providers for online booking, website hosting, email, messaging, accounting, IT support and payment processing. They handle information under their own privacy terms, and some may store or process it outside Australia. We do not sell personal information.

4. Young learners

Many learner drivers are under 18. We only collect what we reasonably need to deliver lessons and support the licence pathway, and a parent or guardian may be involved in bookings and communication where appropriate.

5. Website analytics, cookies and embedded services

The website may use necessary cookies, analytics (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking) and embedded services like maps, booking tools, WhatsApp links or review widgets. These may collect your IP address, browser type, pages visited and interaction data. You can restrict cookies in your browser, though some features may not work.

6. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep records only as long as reasonably needed for lessons, licensing, accreditation, tax, disputes and other legal obligations, then securely delete or de-identify them where practical.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct your personal information. If you have a privacy complaint, please contact us first so we can investigate. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
