We help learners build safe habits, practical skill and confidence through calm, one-to-one lessons.
Who we teach
Learning to drive can be exciting, stressful, or both. Lessons adapt to your experience and confidence, with clear explanations and time to practise each skill.
We teach complete beginners, ACT logbook learners, people preparing for a government assessment, overseas licence holders, anxious learners and licensed drivers returning after a break.
Automatic and manual lessons
Automatic lessons are provided in the instructor’s vehicle. Manual lessons are available in the student’s own suitable car, which must be registered, roadworthy and appropriately insured for driving instruction.
Our approach
Test preparation matters, but safe observation, judgement and decision-making matter every day after you get your licence.

Progressive ACT Driving School has helped Canberra learners since 2017. The aim is simple: teach safe driving in a calm environment and give each learner clear, practical feedback. Lessons are suitable for teenagers, adults, overseas licence holders, nervous learners and drivers returning after a break.
We do not promise that every learner will need the same number of lessons. Progress depends on prior experience, private practice, confidence and how consistently safe skills can be demonstrated.
Vehicles
Automatic lessons are in the instructor’s dual-controlled car. Manual lessons are in your own registered, roadworthy and appropriately insured manual car, after an instructor safety check.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Suleman is an ACT-accredited driving instructor who has helped Canberra learners through Progressive ACT Driving School since 2017. His teaching approach is patient, practical and adapted to the learner’s current confidence and experience.
You work with one consistent instructor who understands your progress from lesson to lesson. Training is available for beginners, nervous learners, ACT logbook students, overseas licence holders, test preparation and refresher drivers.
